Make .avi screen captures with ease
CyberCam is a well-done, easy-to-use program that captures the action from your Windows 95 or NT screen and saves it as a standard, easily edited .avi file. Unlike similar programs that record the entire screen, CyberCam lets you define the precise section you want to capture. And because it outputs to the .avi format, its captures can be played on nearly every flavor of Windows as well as the Internet without having to use a special viewer. Features include easy precision visual screen area or window selection; system-wide, user-definable hotkeys to start, pause, and stop recording and to snap single frames; a panning mode that lets your recording area follow your cursor; multiple video compression choices; and optional sound, with choices for recording quality. You'll also be able to capture in any screen color depth; automatically increment file names for captures; choose frame rate, compression, and key frame; and take advantage of integrated playback buttons and command-line options. CyberCam's captures can be used for several purposes, such as demonstrating software, teaching users about their computer, and doing basic animation. Until purchased, the program displays an "unregistered" message, with contact information superimposed on all captures.
